Work, Play, & Corn Dogs

Today started out a bit bumpy, mostly because I didn’t get up until 8-something. After doing my other morning-stuff, I grabbed a cup of coffee and headed downstairs for my time with God. Tell you what, there is no better way to start the day! I took awhile getting my chores done, mostly because I had rather time-consuming jobs today. I finally started doing school at 10. I pretty much worked straight through until 5. At 5 I took a little break and went outside.

Chuck had let me borrow a couple of throwing knives a couple of weeks ago, but I haven’t been able to throw them because of all the snow. As I was working on school this afternoon, Mike came down and pointed out that all the snow was gone, in the context of throwing the knives. So I strapped on the knives and headed outside for a half hour or so. I got the ramp out and tried throwing the knives into it, but I could not get them to stick for the life of me! Maybe I need a little more practice, or maybe the wood that the ramp is made of is too hard, I don’t know! I can get Mike’s throwing star to stick about half the time. Thunk!

I came back inside and worked on school until 6:35, at which time I changed into my basketball stuff. We had a pretty good turnout at basketball, enough to do 5 on 5. Immediately upon my return I made myself 2 corn dogs, tossed some salad onto a plate, grabbed a Code Red Mountain Dew, and sat down for some more algebra! I’ve been at it ever since, and it’s now 12 AM, so I think I’m going to hit the sack. I think I might go to the library tomorrow, after I get my math done of course. Ha Ho.
