Random Sunday

I got up at 7:07 this morning, despite the fact that I was up until midnight watching movies. I have to start managing my time better, partially because I’m going down to Texas 2 weeks before the PNG trip! Oh yeah! I’m really excited about that! It does mean that I have to work a little harder so that I can still graduate on time, but hey, it’ll be cool to check out the school, sit in on classes, sit in on PNG meetings, and meet the team!

I’m drinking a glass of cola right now, but it has the distinct flavor of passion fruit (maracuya) BECAUSE I finally tracked down passion fruit juice! I have been looking for passion fruit juice ever since I got back from Brazil! Almost a year and a half later, I go into our Super Target on a whim and end up tracking it down! Pretty awesome! As I took a sip, a whole flood of Peru memories hit me! It was pretty cool!

We went to a different church today because our church was canceled for the day. We ended up bumping into Ashley and her boyfriend at this Presbyterian Church in Vernon Hills.

The next 7 weeks is going to fly by so fast! I am super excited about this trip to Papua New Guinea. I am going to be so busy with school that the days should just fly by. At least, that’s what I’m hoping.

A few weeks ago I started writing down goals for 2009. Since then I’ve added quite a bit to the list. It includes everything from taking a lead climbing class to reading Grudem’s book, to going kayaking. All kinds of great stuff! Maybe I’ll put up a sidebar with some of the stuff soon.

I spent part of my day making a slideshow of just about every picture on my laptop that has me in it. I like how it turned out, and I think by the time I was done there was only one double in the whole movie. There are a couple of pictures that LOOK like doubles, but they are different! They are also probably unnecessary, but I wanted to be able to say that I used just about every picture on my laptop! Anyway, these pictures are MOSTLY from the past 2 years, but some go back as far as 5 years. Enjoy! (Actually, this video is taking forever to load, and I'm running short on time.
