Mike and I were over at Chuck’s house on Friday night playing Risk 2210. We didn’t get home until 1:30 AM. It was pretty awesome. As part of my Supercharged January I’m trying not to eat any dessert-food or pop. I fought the urge to have any of the fantastic spread of desserts at Chuck’s house. Then I got home at 1:30, and I saw that the kids had left out the pop. So I poured myself a glass and drank it without thinking until I was ¾ of the way through the glass! Oops! Oh well. Then on Saturday I just slept in late and then went to the hood library for a bit. I drove there and back, and the alignment on the car is a tad off, so it kind of feels like you’re driving a hovercraft. That should probably get fixed…
After I got back to the house I had about an hour and a half before Margaret and Danielle arrived. They go to our church and are our good friends. Margaret and I have been good friends ever since we sat next to each other on the plane to Brazil. She’s almost as crazy as me. Almost…Anyway, I loaded the dishes and then headed outside for a bit of fun. Friday afternoon I had filled a coffee can with a whole bunch of (flammable) junk, and then (of course) lit it on fire. A nice, safe little bit of fun. So I was having fun with that when the Duma’s drove up. We had fun eating, swapping stories, and I showed off my pictures from Peru.

Then yesterday we had church, after which a bunch of us boys played basketball in the gym, mostly the Bryant and Ramer boys. John Alimi came to visit our church and then came over for lunch also. I went in John’s car back to the house, and we took a little detour over to Target. He’s one of my dad’s old co-workers, and I’ve know him for years. He’s from Iran, and he speaks somewhat broken English. He became a Christian quite a few years ago. He’s very intelligent, and he has an amazing testimony. He’s a pretty cool guy to be around. He actually speaks better Spanish than English! We shopped at Target for about 45 minutes. I’m not very good at shopping, but we ended up getting Eleesa a cake for her birthday and also a little present for the whole family. We got back to the house and had a great conversation over lunch and on into the afternoon. It was very nice.
Then I went outside to play with my fire can again, this time taking a couple of pictures. After getting a few good pictures, I went inside and read my chronological Bible, all while sipping Passion Fruit Juice (and thinking “Ahhhh, this is the life!”) Before long I decided to work on my Peru scrapbook while talking to Ryker on speakerphone. We basically talked about the holidays (getting pulled behind a tractor), setting things on fire, and shoveling driveways. WE HAD PIZZA FOR DINNER! OH YEAH! We watched an episode of Little House on the Prairie while we ate our pizza. My night was long from over though, as I made myself some parmesan cheese-covered popcorn and hit the couch with a book: “To Every Tribe with Jesus”. I ended up hitting the sack around 10. It was a pretty awesome weekend!

Ok... I was at this youth thing that my aunt and uncle run (Crossroads farm- www.crossroadsfarm.org) when you called... and I've been really busy since I got home. But you get credit for trying. :) I'll try to call you, maybe tomorrow night...
Well, the fact that I haven't updated my blog for like 10 days should give you some clue that I'm super busy. It has been a really good busy too, meaning I'm getting lots of schoolwork done, and having lots of fun too. (Yes, I was doing math!)
It's okay... Just call me when you have time, just not Monday night..
