I did "The Chardon Loop" today, just kind of a keeping-in-shape type of ride. The first 6 miles involves white-lining it or riding on the fine gravel shoulder. Most of this stretch I had an annoying headwind. Normally I do about 18 mph on this strech, but the headwind pushed me back to like 14. Luckily I was able to get out of the headwind after that 6 mile stretch. The middle section of this ride is a paved bike trail along main roads, and then all but the very end of the last part is a crushed limestone path through Lakewood Forest Preserve. I snapped a couple pictures while I was riding that part. Enjoy!
