THat is so true about country music :) LOL :)

Ok, new set of comments...how much you wanna bet we will be up to 20 in hmmm...3 days! lol :)
So thank you for the longest ever comment i think in the history of blogspot! And I have to comment back on it :) I will never beat ya this time...but then again...you never know!
You seriously like it when girls DON'T wear make-up? That is pretty neat! You work at Petsmart? Well, that would make sense considering you have your own miniature zoo :) That is really cool! I bet it is a really fun job :)
You know what the neat thing is with struggling with self worth and being a Christian? Is that we don't have to be worthy!
There is this really good novel by Randy Alcorn about a chinese martyr. Anyway, in Heaven he is with the Lord and He looks at Jesus and says: "I am not worthy to wear Your crown," he whispered. And Jesus replies: "What you say is half true. But those who realize their unworthiness and trust in MY worthiness, I consider worthy..."
Isn't that just...really beautiful!? Just thought I would share it with you...
WHat a testimony! I think it was the crowning thing for the 20th post anniversary :) I will post mine too but I have to go...so talk to you later!

Yes, I definetely do like it when girls don't wear make-up. I don't work at PetSmart anymore (that's the job I quit)

It's totally all about Him, and our submission to Him.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Submission...what a loaded word! Do you ever have a day where you go through it and then when you have time to sit and think you are like what am I doing? where am I supposed to be? What does the Lord want me to do? Why can't I just never sin again and be perfect! :) Soryy, having one of those moments :)
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Sit and think? What's that??? I don't know, sometimes I do, but usually if I've taken the time to rest I'm either ticked off, brain-fried, or in a carefree mood. Right now my life is pretty simple, at least as far as following God's future plan. All I have to do is complete high school and work on getting into the college that he wants me to get into. And that's seriously ALL that I know right now. Well, beside the fact that I want to go into missions.

I'm very laidback, I take everything in stride, so not being "in the know" of God's plan doesn't really bother me a whole lot. It's being caged up like an animal that drives me crazy. Oh well, it's only till mid-June. I have a story that I'll have to type up for you. I heard it from Gislaine, the administrator at the children's home where I was at in Brazil. She was just at our church a couple of weeks ago.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Sitting and thinking...hmmm...well it is when you have a spare millisecond in a day and you sit down (i hope you know what that is at your age...) and think! lol :)
I envy you for knowing exactly what the future holds. I thought that I used to know too and then the Lord just COMPLETELY turned it upside down and all around! But you know what? He has finally just given me this contentment and peace that for right now (not forever) I can just stay right here and minister to the people around me.
I am sorry you are so caged up :( Just think you will be in Peru soon! I am waiting for that story but now I am off to church.

I guess you wouldn't really call it a story, just some info about some of the situations in Rio.

REAME (the children's home I visited, and where a missionary from our church works) just received their first girl. They had only been taking in boys, because boys make up the vast majority of street kids. Families will kick boys out of the house at the drop of a hat, but they will retain the girls for two reasons: They can help take care of the younger kids, and/or they can make money for the family by being prostitutes. It's terrible!

REAME made a video to show at supporting churchs and potential supporting churches a couple of weeks ago. They plan on using this video for the next 2 years. Problem is, they only have 1 girl! So they borrowed a couple of girls from another place just for the day. Well these girls were told that they were not allowed to go into the boy's home. A few hours later, they were found in there, just hanging out with the boys. Gislaine and Lynda explained why the had the rule, and the girls said "Oh, she doesn't realize what we do under the bridge" It was pretty sad.

A bunch of the young boys have been abused before they reach REAME also.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Oh my word! THat is so sad! But true...that is the saddest part! where is this home? Is it for street kids? Wow...I am going to be walking around depressed for a while! I just have such a hard time understanding why people are so cruel and take such advantage of kids/abuse them. Heaven will be so wonderful :)
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

The home is in a suburb of Brasil, I think it's called Sao Pauolo, but I could be wrong. There's a bunch of pictures on my Rio blog. www.kellyrio.blogspot.com

The home is for specifically for street children. When I was there, they just had boys, but the girls home was built and everything (I've been in it!)

People are so cruel because all they think of is themselves and their own pleasure.
-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

GIRLS HOME! Hm...do they take volunteers? Yeah I guess that is true why people are so cruel...was it hard to visit and see some of the kids?
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I'm sure that they would love volunteers! It wasn't so much being with them that was hard, we had too much fun together! The hard thing was hearing all of their stories afterwards. I'm kinda glad that it worked out that way; nobody wants to be pitied.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

What is the name of the home and ministry that runs it? DO they have a website?
I know what you mean about how it is really hard to have to hear kids stories...we (my sisters and I ) teach TKD at a middle schools afterschool program and some of the kids there...lets just say we are looking at it as a real ministry. The other day we had 2 little girls over to our house and just being with them was wonderful but some of the stuff they said about their homelife was just heartbreaking...the 8 year old was terrified of everything and was so nervous she wet herself and just stuff like that. If you think of it pls. pray that my sisters and I would be able to really make a difference in these kids lives...
~Katy

"If you think of it pls. pray that my sisters and I would be able to really make a difference in these kids lives..."

If I think of it??? I'll make a point of it!

REAME is the name of the place, which is actually a boys home, girls home, and a whole lot more. I'm not sure if they have a website; I'll work on that. I should post Gislaine's story. That would make for a record long comment!

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

THanks for making a point of it :) I am not really used to asking "strangers" to pray so I wasn't sure what you would think. BTW if I talk too much or am to forward pls. tell me 'cause I DO NOT want to be an annoyance or bother!
YOu should post the story! Longest comment you mean or longest post? I need to post a paper I wrote about God's purpose in one's life...I will probably do that tomorrow...
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Prayer is EASY! It's not like you asked me to relocate the Emmpire State building into your backyard! You don't talk too much and you're not too forward! (If you were, I probablly would have told you already, hehehe!) Anyway! So what did you think of the 10 foot snowman? That actually turned out to be a cool icebreaker, because then the guy that lives there (we did it to our next door neigbor) came over late one night and blocked in our doorway with a sign that basically said "This means war!" Then we had him over for dinner and now we get together every once and awhile to play Rook. Have you ever played Rook? That games awesome.

Ok, so check this out: I was searching for REAME's website, and I found a link to our church's website that has an mp3 download of when she came and spoke at our church! I would definetely take a look at that!

http://www.ccmun.org/speaker_detail.php?speaker_id=20

I didn't realize it, but Kyle (my sunday school teacher) posted a bunch of pics of me on the church website...I'm famous!

I'm going to post Gislaine's story on my Rio blog RIGHT NOW! wwww.kellyrio.blogspot.com (If you didn't already know)

-Kelly

AHHHHHHH! I got "Bowling Ball" stuck in my head!!!

HIS daughter said...

Ok, Good MOnday morning :) It is 8:47 here so you might still be in bed! I wish I was still sleeping...I hit snooze...5x's this morning! lol :)
If i did ask you to relocate the Empire state building to my back yard would you? Oh wait...that would take up my whole neighborhood and ruin the whole country thing :) lol :-p
The 10 foot snowman is definately AWESOME! I am really short so I am just sitting here going how on earth did they get the head on! :) lol :) That is really cool that you are able to minister to your neighbor. No I have never played rook but isn't it a card game? Have you ever played Dutch Blitz? The awesomest card game ever invented!
I will definately have to check that mp3 thing out! I don't have time now but I will do it later :)
Famous in your own mind dear, famous in your own mind...LOL :) I am so mean! Sorry! You are famous!
I will have to read the story and you have to read the story I wrote too! Just posted it 2 minutes ago.
~Katy
Ha! Sorry about Bowling ball! :) How about you start singing Princes and Frogs! lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Psshh! Me? Asleep? No Way! I was up at 7:00 YOUR TIME! I used to hit snooze all the time, and then I'd eventually turn my alarm of and wake up around 9:00. That had to stop, but I couldn't break the habit. Well, a couple weeks ago we got a new phone, and I was going to use it for my alarm. I decided I didn't want to because I didn't want to have it on my bed in case I crushed it. So I used our old phone as my alarm. As it turned out, I accidentally left the alarm on the other phone, so it rang at 6:00 AM the next day. It freaked me out, and I've found a way to wake myself up at 6:00 every
morning now!

Building the snowman was AWESOME! It was so funny because one of my friends started wimping out saying it was cold and stuff, AS WE'RE PUSHING WITH ALL OUR STRENGTH ON THE MASSIVE BOTTOM PART! We're like "JUST SHUT UP AND PUSH!" It was pretty funny. The bottom piece was so hard to push we had to football-tackle it the last 5 feet. That was fun. How did we get the head on? Well, as you can see Mike and Jakob are standing on the bottom piece, so that's pretty much how it happened, hehehehe!

Rook is a card game, and dutch blitz is awesome! I haven't played that game in forever.

I AM FAMOUS! There's probably like 3 people who have been on that site in the past month! Hehehehe!

...going to read it now

-Kelly

I would, but I don't remember the words! I don't have that song. I got a bunch of weird looks yesterday because I was walking through Target singing "The Fight Song" by Sanctus Real. Fun Stuff!!!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

REAME does have a website:

www.reame.org.br

Definitelly check out "Business Plan" It's pretty cool. Their site isn't all that in-depth, but at least it gives you an idea. And if you have any other questions I would love to answer them. AND I have contacts! I'm friends with Lynda Oatley and Gislaine!

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Ok so you were up at 6 am...BIG WHOOP! I was up at...I can't remember I was kinda in a daze! lol :) Sometimes I wish my Mom would LET me turn my alarm off :) On my days off we have this little routine...Mom screams (ok yells lol :-p) up the stairs "Katy, Wake up!" I mumble something like "Mppphhh" and bury my head in the pillow! 5 minutes go my...again: "Katy are you out of bed?" In my mental daze I mumble again: "yeahhhh" Then she yells "Are your feet touching the floor?"(she knows me so well) and that is where I fling of the covers, and stick one foot on the floor: "Yeah." lol :) I am not really a morning person at all! Nice idea with the phone though :)
That snowman sounds like it was so much fun ;) I didn't build a snowman this whole winter :( That is kinda sad!
Boy...I can not believe you have played dutch blitz...well, after the PNG thing...eyeah anything is possible lol :) I love that game!
Just keep telling yourself you're famous :)

I can totally see you walking through target singing at the top of your lungs! lol :) No wonder you were getting weird looks! And don't tell me it "wasn't that loud!" Because I am sure it was! LOL :)
~Katy

I will definately check the website out! Thanks so much :) And I will remember you have an "in" with the people. LOL :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

That's how my brother is. My mom even threatens to allow me to do his (easier) chores and make him do mine, and he groggily gets out of bed, does the chores, and hops right back into bed and sleeps for another 45 minutes or so!

I've been known to do some pretty crazy stuff. Back a few years ago I had set my alarm phone on my desk (like I do now). Well, scared the living daylights out of me in the morning! I flung myself off of the top bed, snagged my wrist, and landed on the floor. Then I turned off the alarm. By then I was wide awake.

Ok, here's a cardgame I bet YOU haven't played: Egyption Ratscrew. I play that with my little sisters friends.

Ok, so I was singing loud. Who cares! It was fun! Mel, my cousin who's going to Peru with me, was asking me what we should do for our 7 hour layover at Miami. I replied "Hmmm...let me think....SING!!! She thought it was funny. (I was halfway serious! I mean, I probably won't sing the WHOLE time, but I will some!) Now don't get me wrong, I am not a good singer, I just like to sing and be crazy!

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

HEy! It is a gift to be able to do your chores and then go back to bed and sleep :) Sadly, once I am up...I am up. Sigh...I need more sleep! lol :)It is amazing you didn't land on your wrist and break it! lol :) Have you ever had a dream where in the dream you know you have to wake up soon? It is really annoying!
Egyption Ratscrew! ARE YOU KIDDING! Ok, well I am cause I have never even heard about it :) Just wanted to get you going! lol :) I am afraid to even ask what it is! lol :)
I knew you were singing out loud! :p Ok, but you can't top this:
My brother got this mouth turkey call for hunting and is attempting to learn how to call on it. THe problem is that he sounds like a turkey with digestive problems/a turkey attempting to give birth and lets just say both are not going well! Well anyway, me and Abby went took Dan and Louis (my other brother) and went to the store to pick up sone icecream. Dan brought his call too! As soon as we got to a centralized local inside the store he started calling and it ECHOED THROUGH THE WHOLE STORE!!!! Me and Abby literally ran away from the boys and they had to run fast to catch us. So the point of that was to tell you that I am sure your singing is not that bad :) lol :-p And I am sure you do not have that bad of a singing voice :)
~KAty

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Egyptian Ratscrew sounds terrible doesn't it? It's really fun though.

That's really funny about your brother. I took a HUGE aquarium screen top with me into Target one time. The thing is like 6-feet by 3-feet. Can't think of anything to top that...at the moment. I've done so many crazy things, it's hard to remember them all. I'll think of something. Ha! WAIT! So this one time I walked into walmart with a wig and glasses, and walked around the store for awhile, then deliberately got this guys attention, walked into another aisle, came back without the wig and glasses. He was totally like "...wait a second!" Doesn't quite top your story though.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Um...sorry it will take something special to top that :) lol :) It was great though! Wig huh? Where do you come up with these ideas!?
So this one time my mom got me a maturnity shirt (by accident) and I swear one of these days I am going to go to the mall and just walk around in it and see how many people cast the "poor teenage mother-to-be" pitying glances! :) Ok, so maybe that wouldn't be such a great idea! lOL :)
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

That's pretty funny! Wow! Alright, I can't hold it in anymore, THAT'S DOWNRIGHT HILARIOUS! WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

HEy you want me to post a pic!? I will! It is hysterical! :)
~Katy

HIS daughter said...

Actually, she bought it at the thrift store and we took it home and I tried it on. SHe looked at me and I looked at myself and mom was like "It is a little to big..." Then we figured out why!
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

YEAH! POST A PIC! HAHAHAHA! Thrift stores are AWESOME! Right before I went to Brazil I bought like a whole wardrobe for like $30. My mom always gets frustrated with me because I never try clothes on before I buy them. I just KNOW if it fits! It was funny, I was standing by the changing rooms waitng for my mom, and I heard this kid about my age telling his older sister the same thing! I guess it's a guy thing!

-kelly

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

OH MAN! That's hilarious! ...Even though I never try clothes on first, I've never had THAT problem!

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Did you see the pics? They are on there :) Yeah, I would hope you would never have that problem! I love thriftstores too! I can't go anywhere else really now b/c I can not bring myself to buy one shirt for $10...Mom taught us to shop on clearences! :)
~Katy

It must be a guy thing...I have to try EVERYTHING on :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yep, I saw the pics. Pretty awesome! I buy almost all of my clothes from the thrift store. The exception are funny shirts. If I see a shirt that I like, I'll pay 10 bucks for it.

-kelly

HIS daughter said...

I don't have 10 bucks right now :( Oh wait, I am getting my paycheck on Friday! 1st official one :) Then I think I am actually going to hit the thrift store b/c I have no summer/spring shirts and it is getting a little warm to be wearing long sleeves!
I love fun shirts :) Have you ever heard of the one the says :My imaginary friend thinks your mental?
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Nope, haven't heard that one! I have one that has a stick figure with big muscles that says "The cops just pulled me over for carrying these guns"

I wore that to work one day. Ok, I guess I have to set this story up. So back awhile ago, I was showing Stephanie, this girl in the story, my degus. They're kinda like big gerbils. We were laughing cause one kept going up my sleeve.

So when I showed her the shirt she goes "Oh, is that your degus?"

It was pretty funny.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

LOL :-p You are so weird but it is a really good weird! I would rather be weird cause people like us have more fun in life :) loL :)
~Katy

What kind of homeschool curriculam do you use?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I will. My mom makes up her own hodge-podge of curriculum. She throws her whole life into our education.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

THat is what my Mom kinda does too. Abby is doing the Abeka video curriculem and Jen is just a hodge podge. I posted a link to Abby's PNG blog in my links section on my page...
~KAty

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I already checked it out this morning. Pretty cool! I still don't have one for PNG. I've got like 6 blogs going right now, although I haven't updated 2 of them since last november.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Fun :) 6 blogs? I can hardly keep up with one! G2g...talk to you later ;)
~Katy

Later.

Pics are up.

HIS daughter said...

I'm back :) I will look at the right now.
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Sahweeet! Sorry, a bit over-dramatic. I'm bored stiff.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Well, here comes you boredom keeper awayer :) lol :) I thought you were doing school?
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Of course I'm doing school, that's why I'm bored stiff! I've been doing spanish and only spanish for the past few weeks. Starts to get boring after awhile. Do you speak another language?

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

I do not speak another one but I do know ASL. I was actually going to be a sign language interpreter for the deaf. I HATED spanish (took 1/2 year in 10th grade...didn't pay attention at all!) Now I kind of regret not applying myself to learning it though...just because we have a ministry to some mexican migrant workers and their english isn't that good. My Dad is actually teaching them english using the Bible. It is pretty cool.
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

wait a minute, what's ASL? Anonymous Speaking Language? Is the other name for that Gibberish? Nobody knows what you're talking about?

Ministry to the mexicans...so I heard through the grapevine. Cool.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE...for the deaf :) What grapevine? Oh boy...if the case family grapevine has started I will never be the 1st one to tell you something again :)
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

OH! I get it!

Nah, I saw it on somebody's blog, maybe your sister's.

-Kelly

Ya know, there's one thing I don't understand! Why do they put braille at a drive-up ATM??? Must be for all those car-driving blind men!

HIS daughter said...

I am glad you get it now :) Actually it is a good thing to have ASL especially if you are talking about something you don't want anyone else to know just start signing.

~Katy

I have never thought about that! THat is hysterical...maybe they were afraid they would get sued if "that one..." got mad! lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yeah, that whole braille thing was not original. KJ-52 raps it in "Why".

I SMELL LIKE A WALKING CHINESE RESTAURANT! I busted a soy sauce bottle and it went EVERYWHERE!

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

I have just started listening to KJ-52! I love his song for the ladies.

DON'T TALK ABOUT CHINESE!!!!!!! It makes me very hungry :) Dare I ask HOW you managed to bust a soy sauce bottle?

~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

for the ladies is good lyrically. "brittany and Jay-lo put some clothes on!"

Apparently the in-door shelf railing thing is broken, so when I tried to jam the ketchup bottle onto the shelf, all the bottles fell onto the floor.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

I Love that part of the song. I want to have a lot of little girls just so that I can teach them to be ladies and how to dress!:) I am actually listening to KJ-52 right now and like totally jammin out to myself :) I might just get up and start dancing :)
JAmming the ketchup bottle? lol :) THat sounds like something I would do! Still smell like a chinese restaurant?

~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yep, I still smell like a chinese restaurant. Would you like some fried cat? I've been jamming out to KJ all night. I have several of his cd's. I think I freaked out my mom, cause I was singing and she didn't know anybody was home.

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

Eating fried cat is against my religious principles LOL :-p I love KJ and I have just started listening to him. In your oppinion, what is his best cd? Stop freaking your mom out! Oh, almost forgot, good morning (whew that is getting tiring).

~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

How about dog? Ummmm, his best produced (aka best-sounding) cd is probably the newest one, the Yearbook. I also really enjoy "It's pronounced five-two." It's a pretty crazy album.

She totally thought that I was at my friends house with Mike! It was pretty funny. I heard her walk by my room (as I was singing), she stopped, walked back, and started listening at the door, and then slowly walked away (probably shaking her head).

-Kelly

HIS daughter said...

AHHHHH! It just erased my comment. THat is so annoying!
I would say that eating dog is definately against my religious principles! So just a random question...what is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
I am listening to his latest album right now. LOVE IT!
I BET she was shaking her head! :) lol :)

~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

You have some very interesting religous principles! But if you have a problem eating cat and dog, I won't do it in your presence. I wouldn't want to make you stumble.

The weirdest thing I've ever eaten is probably one of the cricket gelled-water things. You mix water with crystal-things, and the water gels up so that the crickets don't drown in their own water. ...and I ate one of the gel pieces. Real food-Captain Crunch Cookies.

My favorite song on that album is "Say What Ya Want"

HIS daughter said...

Ah...thanks for your consideration for my religious principles :) LOL :)
Ok, that cricket thing just sounds GROSS! What did it taste like? and how on earth did you ever get ahold of one? Captain crunch cookies? SOunds good and different.
LIstening to it now :) It is a cool song! 2nd favorite?
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

It was completely tastless. It was like jello without taste. It really wasn't nasty at all. We used to sell TONS of crickets at PetSmart, so I got it there.

The cookies were really good, and WEIRD!

"Will you ever know?"

HIS daughter said...

Interesting! :) Have to try them sometime (the cookies not the bugs!)
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Do you like coffee? If you do, do you like it with cream and sugar? What's kind do you drink on a regular basis? What's the best cup of coffee you've ever had?

I love coffee! I drink it black, bold, and strong! I'm not picky about my coffee. For instance, this morning I saw that there was still about a quarter of a pot left from yesterday, so I just threw it in the microwave and PRESTO! I'm not picky like at all about anything. I used to be, especially about food. No longer.

My dad's been buying dunkin donuts coffe recently. I like it, but it's not quite as bold as I enjoy.

The best cup of coffee I ever had was from a pot that I had made from some stuff called Pilaou, which I got from Brazil. OH MAN! It was amazing! Especially on the way to work, early in the morning!

If you're not a coffee fan, you'll probably think this whole post is crazy!

HIS daughter said...

ACTUALLY, I have never really had a chance to drink coffee :) I guess we will just have to add that to our IL list!
lol :)
Boy you sure are passionate about coffee! lol :)
That was so random it is hilarious!
~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yep, it gets added to the IL list. In fact, I'll have to make sure I have some Pilaou around. Although you really don't want to try Pilaou for your first cup of coffee. It's kind of an aquired taste.

That was like tons of randomness!

HIS daughter said...

Boy by the time we are done with that IL list it will take a LIFETIME and 1/2 to do EVERYTHING on it! lol :)
Ok, I will totally trust you in the coffee department (did I just say that...maybe I should take that back! lol :p)

~Katy

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

You're safe trusting me in the coffee department...it's the other food areas that you have to worry about, lol!

HIS daughter said...

Yeah! Like the whole energy drink thing? I will come back so high on suger and caffeine I will have to go through withdrawel to get over it :) lol :)

~Katy

Actually, I trust you in the food department cause you sound like a really good cook!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I know right! No question about though, we would have a rip-roaring time! We'd be so hyper from all the caffeine!

All my friends think I have really good taste in the food department. (pun intended)

HIS daughter said...

Are you kidding, we wouldn't get ANY sleep for MONTHS afterwards :) This will be hysterical if it actually ever happens!

I am yeah so brain fried I didn't get the pun! lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I know right! We totally have to do this! It doesn't even have to be overly soon, just sometime out there.

taste-food department (I have good taste, you taste food)

HIS daughter said...

When exactly do you plan on this? lol :) We have known eachother for like 2 weeks...isn't it crazy (In a good way) how we have become friends?
That was a terrible pun lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Uhhh, I'd shoot for summer 2010.

YEAH! It's awesome! I make friends really easy, but I usually don't get this in-depth.

BTW-I'm going to be up for awhile cause my bro's studying, so whenever you are about to fall over from exhaustion, just let me know.

HIS daughter said...

2010 huh? Why then? That is like in...2 years...wow! That was weird :)
I'll say in-depth! We talk constantly! lol :)
Once again, you are sweet...I am good for a little bit longer...don't worry I will let you know!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Ok, summer 09. We have to do it spring, summer, or fall, because thats the only way we can do outdoor rock climbing. ...Unless you want to do ice climbing. ...let's not even go there!

Yeah, I figured I should probably mention something, but this if fun!

HIS daughter said...

Yeah we need to be able to rock climb...I may not be very good at it though that is the only problem...thanks for mentioning it. I will probably have to sign off in like 10 minutes. Could you send me (you can email them if you want to) like 5-10 favorite quotes that you have so I can put them as a sidebar on our blog? Unless you don't like the idea...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

You don't have to be good to have fun. Half the fun is hiking to where we climb anyway!

I like the idea. I'll probably send it to you later tonight or in the morning. I got to gather up the quotes.

HIS daughter said...

Hiking...sounds fun :) That will be a blast and if I fall and kill myself...I give you my car so that way you won't have to buy one :)
Ok, sounds great...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Alright, I'll make sure to tie the knots REAL tight! Bwwhahhahahah!

HIS daughter said...

Uh huh...I have total confidence in you...(said very sarcastically) :p You just want my car you don't care about me ;( Sniff....sniff...sobbbb...
LOL :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Don't worry, I'll catch you if you still have the keys in your pocket!
It was so funny, when I went to get certified, my friend who went up and had to do a surprise fall with me belaying was totally freaked out.

HIS daughter said...

UH HUH! I am not going to get into this right now! LOL :) No, actually, I would be terrified too! No, I trust ya!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Good. I'm insanely careful when i have somebody else's life in my hands. I belayed chuck one time, and kenny (our worship leader) tied a tether to my harness and sat behind me so I wouldn't smash into the wall when chuck fell. He's like 200 pounds over my 145. pretty funny, but he trusted me to tie his knots and stuff.

HIS daughter said...

That is why I told you I trusted you! Ok, how long have we been talking?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I have no idea. Well, I got home around 9 my time, and it's 11:20 my time. So about 2 1/2 hours. Wow! Cool!

HIS daughter said...

WOW is right! My goodness! ;) Oh my word! It is 12:23 am! I have to go to bed...I have 2 tests tomorrow! I will talk to you throughout the day though :) I can't believe it is this late...time just flies when I am talking to you!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Later.

That's what all the girls say...just kidding, lol!

HIS daughter said...

Uh huh...how many girls have you had? lol :) Night...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I've had lots of friends that are girls. Girls make great friends! It's just the girlfriend-boyfriend part that gets sticky!

HIS daughter said...

Ha! I have tons of girlfriends too :) (Go figure! lol) I have never had to deal with the whole bf/gf thing which is nice :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yeah, well I'm so hot girls just go crazy over me, so then I'm forced to deal with it! It's not as fun as it sounds. I really enjoy the friendships that I have with girls, and I want them to stay that way! Not that I never want to get married, I just wish that I could be friends with girls without them getting all girlfriendy on me.

HIS daughter said...

In your dreams buddy...no comment lol :)
Hey I am your friend and I don't act all weird and girlfriendy do I? I had better not! Cause I have never meant to!

HIS daughter said...

Hey, i sent the poem.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

The thing that stinks is that it's true! Not necessarily the hot part, usually it's just because I'm a really nice guy. I'm being brutally honest here!

Nope, you don't, you're cool.

HIS daughter said...

Ok, ok, you are being brutally honest. It is true...you are a really great guy. Any girl would be crazy not to fall for you. But, I think the difference is with me is that I am focusing on Jesus 1st and our FRIENDSHIP 2nd. I have rushed into stupid crushes way too much and the Lord has taught me lessons with that! So, that is why I (try with all my might lol :p) to not get caught up in that stuff anymore. Which let me tell you, for a hopeless romantic is pretty tough. LOL :)

There I was just brutally honest too.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Like my friend says "With great looks comes great responsibility"

Hahahahahaha! Oh man! The talks that my mom has given me. I was so naive. There are things that guys just don't even think about. The mindset is totally different!

Have you read "making brothers and sisters best friends"?

I'm glad you're focusing on Christ 1st. That's the ONLY way to go!

HIS daughter said...

Uh...dude you and your friends have issues! Oh wait...I am your friend lol :p

It is true...there are some things that guys just do not think about. Like, for example, you smile at a girl and just say hey as you are passing by. To you it was just a friendly thing...to her...you are engaged! lol :) I think that is why it is an awesome idea for our blog. Just b/c it is the girls perspective and the guys perspective.

HAH! Mom has given me a lot of talks too...

No, I have never read that book. Is it good?

It is the ONLY way to go...sometimes it can be a challenge but it is definately always worth it in the end :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yeah, we're all pretty crazy!

SERIOUSLY! Like all I did was Hi... You don't know how many times I've told my mom that!

Making brothers and sisters best friends is a really good book. It's authored by sarah o'malley and her brother and sister. There's this one hilarious part where her brother says "You know Sarah, I think that me getting a laptop is going to be like you gettng married. I mean, I've looked forward to owning a laptop for years, I've envisioned myself playing games on the laptop, I've even dreamed about the laptop." Sarah just rolls her eyes. All of a suddens she stops and says "Wait a minute. So what will it be like for you to get married?" He says "Kinda like you getting a laptop!" It was hilarious!

HIS daughter said...

Ok...100th Comment! That is kinda sad :) lol :)

Hey it is fun being crazy as long as we know when to not be crazy! :p

I bet you have told your mom that alot! How do I know? Um...I am a girl...boy I think this friendship is going to be very educational to you on the female mind lol :)

That sounds like a really good book!

HIS daughter said...

OHHHH! I just LOST all that I had written on our blog...ouch! That hurt!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I've NEVER seen 100 comments on a blog before. We're using this like IM!

True, true!

Yeah, it probably will! But hey, Josh Harris said that his female friends have helped him a lot in his spiritual walk!

HIS daughter said...

Ok, so I just posted it...tell me what you think b/c I can change stuff if you want me too. If you don't think it is long enough...I will make it longer!

We do use this like im! Sometimes I have to think "oh man anyone can read this..." That is the only thing that bothers me :) lol.

Well, that is what friends are for...to help eachother grow in our spiritual walks!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

WHOA! you got like a huge gap! I'll fix it. I haven't read it yet.

HIS daughter said...

Gap? I posted a video so that may be it but there is no gap on my view. Weird.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Ahem...never mind, I'm blonde.

HIS daughter said...

What did you do?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I didn't do anything. It was the video. It hadn't showed up on my screen yet. And my flying fingers were going off in 700 different directions!

Anyway, nice post, I like it!

HIS daughter said...

LOL :) Ok, I am glad you like it :p so you have anyone lined up (besides us) to read it? lol :) I posted a link to it on my blog.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Hmmm...I could probably rustle up a few people. I should install sitemeter on the site, that way we can see who's been on.

HIS daughter said...

Sounds good :) I am so excited to see where this blog goes. I think the Lord could really use it!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yeah, the Do Hard Things tour started with a blog...

This is pretty cool though. Ya know, I still can't get over how all this worked out. I make a couple random comments while I'm surfing, and the whole thing explodes!

HIS daughter said...

Hey who knows what will happen!

I know...sometimes when we are talking I am like "What is happening? We met eachother like 2 weeks ago!" But I don't regret it :) Actually, your friendship has been a God-send and I am being totally serious.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

IT'S SO WEIRD! What really throws me for a loop is the fact that your sister is going on the same trip to PNG! (hopefully, I know)

This is definitely cool, and I'm glad that you consider me a God-send, hahahaha!

HIS daughter said...

Yeah, hopefully she will be going...who knows maybe we can meet through that :)

You have no idea how lonely I was before we started talking! Plus...you really challenge me to get closer to the Lord.

Ok, I am working on a paper so if i don't comment back right away that is why.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I know right! (I say that a lot!) ...I'm praying for her.

Yeah, I have to see that my barometric pressure has gone up since we've started talking. ...Good, same here.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

...I'm going to go eat so I don't pass out. A brief break from Spanish shouldn't hurt.

HIS daughter said...

Ok what on earth is barometric pressure? lol :) Um...have fun eating! I have a class so I will be back on in like 1 hour... :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

If the barometric pressure is low, rain is likely, so if it's high, it's probably a sunny day. Following me now? Sunny = happy!

HIS daughter said...

Ahh :) That is really sweet! Boy I must sound like a total moron to you. I do know stuff! PROMISE! I just got done taking 2 finals so my brain is MUSH. BUT I did get mcdonalds fries :)
Actually Kelly...I am really happy too. Barometric pressure who thinks of this stuff? lol :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

No, you got all the right stuff down. I just have an extra "brain drawer" full of useless info and weird stuff.

HIS daughter said...

LOL :) I will be back to "normal" after this school semester is done...

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

I know how that feels...

HIS daughter said...

Well...only two more finals! :) Are you still just doing spanish?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Yeah, hopefully only until Sunday. Then it's on to math! Ugh!

HIS daughter said...

YUCk! I hate math...well, that is not entirely true. I hate it until I get it then to me it is like a puzzle (with algebra that is). What are you going to be doing? Algebra, geomatry? (totally mispelled that!)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Algebra. I don't mind it when I understand it, which is about 80 percent of the time, but that other 20%! Oh Man!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Algebra. I don't mind it when I understand it, which is about 80 percent of the time, but that other 20%! Oh Man!

HIS daughter said...

Yeah...I had almost 3 hours of it today...I seriously am scared that I bombed that test. See, we were behind, so my teacher taught 2 chapters in 3 1/2 hours last week then we had the test this week. YIKES! I just hope I passed...
I agree with the whole 20% thing...so do you basically teach yourself?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

That stinks.

Kind of. I have VideoText Interactive. That's like 1 of 2"Complete Curriculums" that we own. It's really easy to use and understand. (Unless its part of that 20%...)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Dude! My cousin in Thailand was on my blog yesterday!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

people from argentina, canada, UK, and Brasil! That's awesome!

HIS daughter said...

I have never heard of that video interactive thing :) It probably would have made my life a whole lot easier!
(Gotta hate that 20%)

Thailand! That is awesome :) How do you know? Did you accidently delete a comment?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Nope, I have sitemeter. It tells who's been on and stuff. I'll put it on the blog, then you can play around with it.

HIS daughter said...

I love it when you give me permission to play with stuff :)
I am back and let me tell you that was the BEST TKD class I have done in a while. It was really hard physically but, I love working out hard, it brightens my day :) SO, you get the polish sausage thing? How was your day?

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

...I installed it. Click on the meter to play around with it. Definetely check out the location bar on left of the sitemeter page as we get more hits.

I'm glad you had fun! I enjoyed my walk (my mom called it a journey, lol!). Working out, working hard, it's fun and good for you. I got to Home Depot, AND THE HOTDOG STAND WAS CLOSED!!! Man was I disapppointed. Oh well.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

HIS daughter said...

That is neat. I think 6 miles is a journey too :) Well, not that bad if it is flat. COme out here and walk 6 miles.
OH! I am sorry that the hotdog stand was closed :( Did you get the full throttle/gatorade at least?
Did you get any good books out? I love librarys. Why? They are FREE :)

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Don't tempt me to come out there and walk 6 miles!

Yeah, got my gatorade AND the full throttle. I love Home Depot because they have competitively priced energy drinks, AND (most importantly) they have SELF-CHECKOUTS!

I didn't get any books, I'm overburdened with reading material right now.

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Did you read that post from awhile ago about me buying a $2 energy drink at Home Depot, IN PENNIES?

HIS daughter said...

Why not! I want you to come and visit me :)
I am glad that they have great prices for the energy drinks :) I love self checkouts! They are so much fun except I look like a dork going through them cause I am so slow. LOL :)
Why were you at the library then?

I LOVE ELF! We watch it once a year so it won't get old...I have no desire to go around in a door but I will be pretending to watch you.

So, I am on IM and waiting lol :) Is it not working? you do have aim right?

HIS daughter said...

HIS daughter said...

HIS daughter said...

Well, it just isn't working tonight! AHhh :( I was really looking forward to talking to you!

Kelly & Sarah Bryant said...

Sooo... I posted a pic of Chuck & Mike, and one of Me & Tim. They're on flickr.
