This morning began rather normal, with me waking up late of course! I worked on my update letter, than on algebra, up until about 3:30. Then, tired of school, I headed outside to get my mind elsewhere. Mike and Chris were outside hanging out. I said hi, walked over to the other side of the garage, picked up a recycling bin, walked down to the sidewalk, and set it upside down on the sidewalk. Mike asked what I was doing, so I told him I was going to jump over the bin on my bike. I am dead serious, he burst out laughing! I was like “No, I’m serious, I am going to jump over that bin!” So I hop on his old Diamondback BMX bike, pedal over to the end of the block, and then start pumping it toward the bin. I kept gaining speed, I’m getting closer, closer, I prepare for a big jump, and here it comes! JUMP! I made it over, but my back tire hit the bin. Unfazed, I kept going, turned around in Darren’s driveway, and headed back for the bin. I gathered speed and then jumped higher than I’ve ever jumped in my life! It was amazing! I totally cleared the bin that time. So I coasted back up the driveway to where Mike and Chris were, and just started laughing. Adrenaline still running high, I decided to go look for some more gaps to jump. The coolest one I found was the teeter-totter at the park. The horizontal pole of the teeter totter is about 18 inches off the ground. I started off by the pavilion, pumped really hard through the grass, crossed the sidewalk into the woodchips, approached the teeter-totter, and then JUMPED! WAHOO! I TOTALLY cleared it! It was awesome!
After that, I hung out with Andrew at his house for awhile. Then it was time to go back for dinner. Ooohhh man, was dinner good! We had steak (with A1 steak sauce), baked potatoes, some kind of herb bread, homemade applesauce, and oatmeal cookies. It was awesome! Perfect end to the day!
