Espere

I rolled out of bed around 9 today, groped my way upstairs, and started my day. I was up until 3 am this morning working on school. I did my chores, made some nice strong coffee, and then did a bit of journaling. Then of course it was on to schoolwork! I worked until about 3 pm, then I took stock of my iPod parts. I gathered a bunch of them into a lot that I’m going to sell on eBay. I owe Mike some money, so I got to turn parts into cash! Then I prepared to go ride my bike to the library, but it was raining. So I waited about ½ an hour, Dad got home, and the rain let up. So I hopped on my bike and started riding away, followed to the end of the street by a bunch of kids wishing me safe journey (my translation!). The ride up was nice, as always. My rear end got a little wet, but hey, it’s all in the name of riding.

Once I got up to the library, I had a new experience! I made my reservation for a computer, went over to the computer, and it was occupied! So I went up to the all-knowing librarian, and she checked my reservation time. I have never been there when all the computers were full! She explained that my reservation came to fruition in 10 minutes. I laughed as it suddenly hit me what the problem was. So I walked around for 10 minutes looking at books. I did my stuff on the computer, then hopped on my bike and headed home. It was a beautiful night to be riding. Nice and warm, a little humid from all the rain, beautiful sunset shining through the cloud cover. I saw a whole bunch of frogs and even more grasshoppers. I was hoping I would see a salamander, but I didn’t. It was perfect salamander weather, but it was still light out. A salamander that we caught on the way home from a basketball awards night when I was probably 12 years old started my whole animal hobby. Ahh, the good old days!
Three-quarters of the way home, I got rained on. I don’t mind riding in the rain, it’s actually pretty fun. Pulling out onto 60 was a bit of a pain, and I had to use a tight window. The gravel shoulder was all soggy, so I was skidding out a bit when I started pumping hard. Nevertheless, I made it home alive! After I got home I started back on school. I’m reading “Lords of the Earth” right now. Right around 9:00 or so I decided to stop for a 20 minute “power nap” since I was planning on staying up until 12, and I was exhausted. I set the alarm for 20 minutes and crashed. 20 minutes rolled around, I slapped the alarm, rolled over, and slept through the night. I guess it was good to get the sleep. I actually felt more refreshed the night before when I got 6 hours of sleep than I do this morning with 10! Listening to “First Time” by Hawk Nelson. I have all my Hawk Nelson stuff playing while I blog. It’s good wake-up music. Normally I blog right before I go to bed, but that was kinda impossible last night!

Yeah, it's pretty fun stuff! I was in my hometown (the house that you guys have been to) a couple weeks ago. Mike and I were biking in front of some stores. I rode off some steps, got some speed, jumped a 2 foot gap into another parking lot, then did a HUGE fishtail. It was AWESOME!
