So Friday night Chuck came and picked Mike and I up to go sleep over at his house. We were going up to Devil's Lake at 5 am the next morning, so sleeping over made everything a bit more convienent (and fun!). We loaded up gear, worked on setting up a couple of lengths of cord, I ascended up one of the steel girders in his basement, all kinds of fun stuff! Then Chuck suggested we play PS2. We played a racing game in which Chuck and Mike both smashed me. Then we played this futuristic robot combat game. That was pretty sweet. Chuck whipped me on that one, but then I was really whoopin up on Mike. It was fun!
We left the house about 5:45 the next day, and started making for Wisconsin. It ended up being a beautiful day, and we had a nice little group. Our group was: Chuck, Kathy, Candice, Mike, and me! The hike up was as fun as always. We were behind these girls for a little bit, and they were going kinda slow. Well, they apologized for it or something, and I said "It's cool, it's cool." Well, the girl was like " Did he just say Let's go, let's go?" So I explained and told them that I wasn't THAT mean! Anyway, I got to help Chuck set up the climbs, abseiled 3 times, and did 3 climbs. The last time I abseiled I used gloves, and it made a HUGE difference. I was able to go down so much faster! It was tons of fun.
Then we went to the Log Cabin restaurant for dinner and I finally completed the objective. See, the last 2 times we've been to the Log Cabin I've tried to eat 3 chocolate chip pancakes. These are NOT your ordinary pancakes! These things are like the size of a dinner plate and THICK! So the first time I totally was not able to finish and I had to get a box. Well, the 2nd time I was almost done, but Tim asked for a little bit. So of course I gave him some, THEN they told me that it didn't count! So this time I took down all 3 pancakes AND the little plate of bacon. Oh yeaaah!
