Bonfire

Tonight we decided to have small group at Mark's house so that we could have a bonfire. We had a pretty good turnout: Mark, Kevin, Joel, Mike, Sklyer, and Me! The guys were actually pretty attentive, and we were able to finish the last 3 chapters of the book. We rearranged the normal schedule so that we would still have daylight to read by. It was really cool! We got a fire started in their little "burn pan", and then we started reading. Joel was so hilarious! Mark is sitting there, intent on trying to ignite this little pile of sticks and leaves to start the bonfire. It was taking forever! So Joel grabs the bug spray from Mark and starts spraying it on the fire! WHOOSH! It was awesome!

As the reading was going on we were all burning sticks. I had a big spark fly out and land on my shirt, and it burnt a hole right through my shirt. That was pretty awesome! After we finished reading, we burnt the very last (useless) page of our book. THEN we broke out the s'mores supplies! The s'mores were fantastic (when are they not???). I was so mad I didn't bring my camera! We stuck a full can of Mountain Dew in the fire and it exploded! That was really cool! I had a whole bunch of snakes that we put in. I stuck one on top of a graham cracker and stuck it near the flames. The graham cracker caught on fire, and then the snake went off! I was sitting next to Joel, watching some snakes that I had just thrown in, and all of a sudden I smelled this really bad smell! Joel had lit my hair on fire with his lighter! That was hilarious!

I'm really glad we were able to finish the book tonight, cause we won't meet again before I leave for Peru and I want to do the pizza party when I get back. We're going to celebrate finishing the book by having a pizza party, and I'm going to speak about Peru. That will be fun!

All I can say is nothing because your blog is not interesting to read.

Cuz I'm one of the few girls I know who like snakes.
The animal-type.

Snakes are absolute awesome! Did you know I'm a reptile freak? Actually, I love all exotics! I have 18 animals at this point. And that's a low...No snakes though, mother won't allow it.

My brother has three snakes... all black rat snakes. Pudge and Magglio, and their son, Curtis :)
Pudge is the female, she's about 4 feet.
Maggs is the male, he was last measured at 6'5"
And Curtis is the baby, he's somewhere around a foot, I think.

That's awesome! I would love to have a Trans-Pecos rat. I have tons of geckos, a couple of beardies, a hedgehog, and some other stuff like a giant millipede. It's fall fun and games until the milliped poops...

Alyssa Joy said...

You have a millipede? Oh gross...
Yeah, the snakes are pretty cool.
Pudge is about to lay eggs again, hopefully they're fertile. :)

Sahweet! And millipede's are really, really cool. It even ate one of my dead anoles!
