A Bit of Driving

So last night we got pizza and watched an episode of Quincy. We started at like 7:00, so we were done rather early. Mike had to go get some gas and take advantage of the "Buy 2 twelve packs, get 2 free" sale at Dominicks. So Mike, Dad and I hopped in the Lexus and drove over to Dominicks. I was going to buy some pop too, but I didn't have enough money with me, nor did I have my Dominicks card. So Mike and I get to the pop aisle and he commands me to go back and get a cart. I was like "no way dude! I'm just gonna carry all of my four". I ended up walking back and getting a cart anyway. I come back and he is nowhere to be found! 5 minutes go by with me hanging out in the pop aisle. So I called dad and asked him if Mike was out in the car with him. He wasn't. Then Mike appears out of nowhere at the end of the aisle and is like "You ready?". So I start walking towards him with my cart full of pop. Then he disappears again! So I walked back into the pop aisle and hung out for another 5 minutes. After getting a bit bored, I decided to roam the store and attempt to find him. That's when I got the call from dad saying that Mike was now in the car, and had checked out without me! I told him that I didn't have any money, etc, and to send Mike back in. So then I gave Mike a hard time about leaving me stranded in Dominicks for 20 minutes, RIGHT AFTER I WENT TO GO GET HIM A CART! AHHHH! Brothers! Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em!

Then the fun began! We went across the the street to the church parking lot so that Mike and I could practice driving. Mike went first and almost smashed into a car when he was attempting to parallel park AND DIDN'T LOOK BACKWARDS AT ALL! I discovered that it's a whole lot easier to back up in the Lexus than in the big 12-passenger van. I drove backwards around the whole parking lot. That car goes FAST! It's pretty fun. I felt a lot more comfortable driving this time. I guess all those driving videos must have helped! Driving backwards is fun!
