Praise and Proper Perspective

I'm sitting in a room with air-conditioning, surrounded by empty fruit snack wrappers, and there's a can of pop within easy reach. It's nice to be able to relax after a good hard day's work. Today I was complimented on how good of a job I'm doing, which was nice to hear. But that's not what it's all about. I want to see Christ lifted up and God glorified by my actions each and every day. Who cares if I'm praised by the guys I work with? I want to have a proper perspective on my life and on the time that I've been given as I go about my daily life. I do have a higher calling. I have been called out of the darkness and into the light. Jesus Christ is Lord of my life.
