We decided to go to the Prime Outlet Mall in Wisconsin, which is like 25 minutes from my house. I found a whole bunch of different clothes that I wanted, mostly at the Converse store.
I also found an Under Armor shirt that I want to get, mostly for caving. It was bright orange. Oh yeeeeah! I split a piece of Sbarro pizza with Mike. It was good, but a little small for the price. I got a pair of awesome lime green shoelaces at the Converse store.
I babysat Connor from 5 to 9. We played the computer, walked the dog, played on the swing-set, and ripsticked down the sidewalk. Mike brought over some chicken curry for my dinner, and the dog wouldn’t let me eat in peace. I had to eat standing up so that she wouldn’t eat my food! I got back and pretty much went straight to bed because Joylynn had a headache, and Ploy went to Wal-Mart. So endeth Wednesday.
Yesterday I got up at like 6:20 and just sat in bed listening to music until like 7:10. Then I rushed into the shower. Oh yeah, first one in! I groggily made my way downstairs and got the coffee maker started. After eating breakfast, (but before coffee), I drove dad over to Starbucks and Target. As I was pulling around the line of cars at the Starbucks drive-through, I saw the guy who lives in our neighborhood that helped us get the Jamaican guy’s car out of the snow. That was awesome. He had made a mistake and drove into his driveway, which was covered with a foot of snow. The next morning the whole undercarriage of the car was frozen into a foot of snow! So this guy flagged down me, Mike, and Jakob, to help him out, since we were out shoveling. It took us like an hour to get his car out! At one point we brought Jakob’s Expedition over, hooked up tow chains, and tried to pull the car out. The car was so frozen into the snow and ice that the tow locks just broke right off the car! It was pretty crazy!
Anyway, we ended up going to Lincoln Park Zoo, down in Chicago. I really like the African Journey exhibit. I also like the Reptile and Small Animal house. I walked into the Reptile and Small Animal House and these 2 ladies walked up to me with a lizard. They said “Hey, this is one of our lizards…” and I said “Blue-Tongue Skink, right?” They were amazed that I knew what it was! After that they made me tell where it was from and what it eats. It was pretty funny.
As we were waiting for Dad to pull the car around to the entrance of the zoo, I climbed up into the rafters of the little building that houses the zoo map. I laid down up there and had Ploy take a picture. She took one, and she was like “It looks like you’re standing up!” So I said “Well make it look like I’m not standing up! AND HURRY!” It was awesome!
After we got back Joylynn, Ploy, Jill and I all went to Target. They were pricing out all kinds of candy because Ploy wanted to take a bunch back to Thailand. I walked back to the seasonal section and found out that they still had a bunch of stuff left from Halloween, so the girls came over there, and Ploy got tons of candy. It was like 75% off too! I ended up picking up a massive bag of Wonka canday for $2.
Joylynn and Ploy left around 7:30 this morning. Joylynn is going to drop Ploy off, and then go on to Indiana. Joylynn will be back in like less than 3 weeks for Thanksgiving. We were saying it would be really cool if we flew together to Japan in March, because she’ll be going back to Thailand, and I’ll be going to PNG. I’m not sure if I fly from Japan to PNG or not, but it would be fun if I did! The only thing is, I may be flying out of Texas, and she would be flying out of O’Hare. Hmmmm…
