“The Grandma Test” OR “Falling Out Of Duck Blinds”

Woke up late this morning…again. Nevertheless, it did end up being a pretty productive day. I did my chores, grabbed a cup of coffee, and started working on a couple of iPods that I sold over the weekend. One of them I had to replace the battery on, and the other I just had to put the bottom brace and cover on. I packaged them up, addressed them, and then tried to find somebody to drive over to the post office with me. I gave dad a call and he said that he was over at the library, but would be home in 20 minutes. Grandma has been at our house the past couple of days, so I decided to ask her instead. She agreed, and even let me drive her van. I wasn’t 100% sure where the post office was, but I know the general area like the back of my hand, so I decided not to ask one of the parents. Sure enough, I found it without a hitch. By the end of the trip, I had passed the “Grandma Test”, meaning she approved of my driving. Now I just have to work on my mom!

I got home around 12:30, made some lunch, and pretty much worked on school non-stop until 7. At that point I took a little bike ride around block to get some fresh air. It was right about sunset, and the temperature was perfect. That was a cool little 10 minutes! Then I decided to hitch a ride with Dad, Jill, and Josie to run some errands. I needed to get some Mountain Dew. While I was waiting for them to come out of the house, I was throwing the football with Graham and Mike. I love football! I’m hoping I’ll get to play some sweet pickup football games when I get to college. After our little errand-running excursion, (which included pizza), I got right back into school. I worked for about 20 minutes and then Ryker called. We talked for about ½ an hour, mostly about the men’s bike trip, Cheesehead quirks, and falling out of duck blinds. SOMEDAY I’m going to have to drive up there and spend a couple days hangin out with him. After that it was back to school. 10:00 rolled around and Mike came down. I was getting kinda tired, so I started blasting Flatfoot 56, Family Force 5, and Stellar Kart. Maybe a bit too loud when all the rest of the family is trying to sleep…I fell asleep reading “Prisoners of Hope”, sometime around 11. Yep, it was a pretty productive day!
