Fun Week

This has been a pretty cool week. Busy, but cool. I’ve been able to get some school done, sell an iPod, figure out the condition of most of the iPod parts I have, set up my leopard geckos in bigger cages, get some crickets, did about 60 miles on my bike (so far), practiced driving, slept on the couch in the basement, watched Holes in Spanish, all kinds of great stuff!

Drew, Brent, Josie, and I all rode on the Crystal Lake Prairie Trail yesterday. We rode 36 miles total. Well, I ended up getting 39, but I had to do a bit of riding on the way back to our house. Normally I’ve stopped where the trail turns into gravel, which is right in Ringwood, but this time we tried to get all the way to Wisconsin. Josie started getting tired, so I knew we needed to turn around because we still had to go all the way back! She started to get pretty tired near the end of the 36 miles, but she still kept at it all the way to the finish! She’s got a lot of grit! Drew and Brent did really well too. I’m pretty sure Drew and Brent could have done some more miles.

We saw all kinds of small wildlife while we were riding, including 2 snakes, 2 frogs, a dead mouse, and like 3 or 4 chipmunks. The 2nd snake we saw was curled up on this bridge in Glacial State Park. Part of his body was in the space between the boards, kind of hanging in mid-air. That one was really cool to see!
